Authorities are conducting a WWII bomb disposal operation in the vicinity of the Hardtbergbad Indoor Swimming Pool (Hardtbergbad Hallenbad) on In der Dehlen in Bonn as of April 29. A 500-meter (547-yard) evacuation zone is in place around the operation site. It was not immediately clear how long the operation would last.
Evacuation orders and associated heightened security measures and road closures will last until authorities give the all-clear. Transport disruptions are likely near the operation area and may continue for several hours after the operation concludes.
Avoid the affected area. Allow additional time if traveling in the surrounding area of Bonn. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities.
