Thailand: Suspension of services reported at all stations along the MRT Yellow Line serving Bangkok and Samut Prakan, March 28

All stations along the MRT Yellow Line serving Bangkok and Samut Prakan in Thailand remain closed as of afternoon March 28.

Warning

All stations on the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) Yellow Line remain temporarily closed as of the afternoon of March 28 after mountings from a power supply rail fell from the train track onto traffic at approximately 08:00 March 28 near Kalantan Station. While several vehicles were reportedly damaged, no injuries were reported. MRT Operator Eastern Bangkok Monorail Co did not provide a timeline for the resumption of services.

Lingering rail disruptions will likely impact the affected line after service officially resumes. Increased demand for available rail services may result in crowding on train station platforms and within carriages. Increased vehicular traffic congestion is possible in affected areas.

Reconfirm rail service in the impacted areas. Prepare for disruptions to alternative available transport.
